“I fully support Mark’s candidacy and look forward to serving beside him in the legislature next year.”
Mark Warden Signs Americans for Prosperity Pledge
Concord, NH - Republican State Representative candidate Mark Warden today signed the Americans for Prosperity Pledge to cut taxes and fees (and oppose a sales and/or income tax), cut spending, cut the size of government, and uphold both the N.H. and U.S. Constitutions.
"This was an easy pledge to sign, since it is a desire to uphold the values of limited government and accountability that most voters in Goffstown and Weare share. Business taxes in N.H. have increased dramatically, especially with the LLC tax. Unless we restore the N.H. Advantage of lower taxes, we are likely to see unemployment continue to rise. Additionally, property tax payers need relief – the state must stop passing unfunded mandates and downshifting costs to the local property taxpayer" said Warden.
Warden continued, “There are many things the legislature can do to reduce spending while maintaining vital services. We should pass school choice reforms that have been proven in many other states to improve quality while reducing costs. Public employees should be switched to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) as has become increasingly popular in the private sector. All these reforms use the competitive nature of the free market to reduce costs while potentially improving the quality of service. If elected to the State Legislature, I pledge to reduce spending and taxes in New Hampshire, which will help revive the economy, spur job growth, and expand personal liberty.”
